Seminar on “Screening and Treatment of Spinal Disorders” at Go Vap District Hospital
On October 23, IQ-LIFE partnered with Go Vap District Hospital to organize the seminar “Screening and Treatment of Spinal Disorders,” providing useful information for patients and individuals experiencing spinal health problems.

According to various statistics, the number of people affected by spinal disorders has been increasing, with a growing trend among younger populations. These conditions are no longer limited to older adults but are increasingly affecting people of working age.
Common spinal disorders include herniated discs, spondylolisthesis causing nerve compression, spinal stenosis, and spinal deformities such as scoliosis, among others.
There are many factors that can contribute to spinal disorders, including injuries caused by work or improper sports activities, lifestyle and daily habits, and poor posture while working, among others.
According to Dr. Do Thanh Nhan, a Neurosurgery Specialist at Go Vap District Hospital, “Many patients fail to recognize the early signs of spinal disorders and only seek medical attention when their symptoms become more severe, such as reduced or loss of sensation, limited mobility, or difficulty walking.”
Therefore, early recognition of symptoms, timely screening, and early treatment are extremely important. People should also carefully consider reputable healthcare facilities for examination and treatment to ensure appropriate and effective care.

The seminar attracted considerable interest from patients in the Go Vap District area. Patients and their family members had the opportunity to receive medical advice and have their questions answered by doctors regarding common spinal disorders, helping them access comprehensive and accurate health information.

Supporting hospitals in providing health information and sharing knowledge about healthcare and disease prevention is one of IQ-LIFE’s ongoing activities. Through these efforts, IQ-LIFE aims to contribute to improving quality of life and promoting better health for the community.
